Just wanted to leave an update. Johnny has changed rooms within the hospital. Johnny is in room 819. His telephone number is 904-244-2819.
Johnny got a wheelchair yesterday and was able to get up and ride a round a little with the help of his family. Johnny's dad is back in town to be with him and is a tremendous support. Johnny's mom will be by to visit today and will be staying the weekend. Johnny has a great support system and has many friends stopping in to visit. Thanks to all of you guys! I know Johnny loves the company.
Johnny's new food request is PROTEIN... AKA STEAK!!!!!! One of Johnny's best friends is bringing one of his favorites tonight... Long Horn Steak! Eat up and enjoy Johnny!
Johnny is still enduring heavy physical therapy. Along with that comes pain... physical and emotional. Johnny has been so strong throughout this... You are such a trooper Johnny! Stay strong and keep fighting... you will be back at home and in your old routine in no time!

Thank you for taking the time to create this site. I love Johnnie so so much! I have been friends with him and Sheldon for the biggest part of our lives. I am so thankful for his life and the grace God granted him through this life altering experience. He can still feel his toes, move his leg and wipe his own butt. (so many things we take for granted) Johnnie and Sheldon have been a part of so many of my Christmases. I can't bare to think of a Christmas without even talking to him. I hold our friendship so dear.
ReplyDeleteThe otherday, I was thinking about Johnnie and his strength and I thought of him as a very strong Oak tree. Even though he has lost a big limb, he still has an fine undamaged trunk and his root system wasn't even damaged. Watch it now, I'm referring to his spinal cord.
Yesterday I compared him to Super Man. All he done was fall off a horse and never moved anything but his lips after that till the day he died. Yep, that's what I thought to: not only is Jonnie Morgan better looking than Super Man he's is stonger too. This event has moved Johnnie to "Mega-Super Hero" status and me to "Pres. of the Rowan County NC Chapter of the Johnnie Morgan Fan Club".
Thank you again for making it easy for me to not just tell our friends from home about this event but tell them to CALL HIM! My affection for Johnnie and belief in him is shared by many at home as well as all over the world.
I look forward to going snow skiing with Johnnie and Sheldon by 2011. And witnessing Johnnie kicking Shitlyn's butt slolem sking! Sheldon gets a big kick out of bragging about how passed Johnnie on the slopes while Johnnie wiped out time after time.
You can do it John Boy! Your life has been the perfect example of "determination" and that's what I admire most about you.
